Kiba ran through the forest, his white pelt a blur in the trees. He was heading to the grasslands, maybe to find something to eat since he was a bit hungry. When he reached the end of the trees, he paused, sniffing the air around him. The faint smell of caribou drifted toward him, but it was stale, and he probably couldn't pull one down alone anyway. He sniffed again, this time finding the scent of rabbit. He ran towards it hungrily, blowing air behind him to speed him up.

The swift black pelt of the medicine wolf shifted through the terrain. She knew how to hunt very well from living on her own for so long. Her purple optics flashed in the sunlight in the winter sky. There was scarce hunting but she figured she could manage. As she scanned the lands a white spec in the distance caught her eye. She wandered toward it a bit, her blurred vision barley able to make out a young wolf.
She slunk around for a moment, wondering why this young wolf was alone. She laid down and watched him for a moment. He was the same color as a wolf she once knew a long, long time ago. Her marbles rolled across the grounds, searching for movement but also watching the pup. As soon as she had begun searching the faint smell of caribou filled her nostrils.

Kiba stopped as he neared the appatizing smell of rabbit. He spotted the hare nibbling on a brush not too far away. He changed the wind current to make sure that he was upwind, so as not to alert the rabbit by his scent. Crouching down low, his belly fur brushing the ground, he waited for a moment. He pounced suddenly, going straight for the throat. But his timing was off by just a bit, and he missed. That was all the rabbit needed, and it quickly bounded away. "Darn it!" He sighed and sat down, scratching himself lazily and looking around for something else to eat.
Again the scent of caribou drifted toward him, but he would have to find someone else to help him bring one down. His stomach growled loudly, and he remembered that he hadn't eaten in a while. Suddenly, his auds perked up. Kiba turned his cranium to the sound of a twig snapping, and he could barely make out a black pelt hidden in the foliadge. He let out a soft growl, warning the creature that he meant no harm but was not one to mess with.

Moelani watched intently as the young wolf tried for a rabbit. She felt bad for him as she saw the rabbit bound away. She couldn't tell if his timing was off or if he just simply missed. She chuckled to herself. Her eyes rolled as the white wolf growled. She stepped, lumbering toward him. She was a few feet away from him as she opened her maw, Oh please... She said then walking past him. She saw that the rabbit had simply bounded to a spot in the distance, it was some ways away though.
She noticed that the rabbit would have smelled him as his scent drifted in the wind. She realized he must be a wind elemental. She did not have the ability to hunt like these gifted wind wolves but she was quite good herself. She turned her head sharply, Might you need help? I'm hungry myself you know... She hadn't given him much time to reply from her last comment because she wasn't in the mood to hear a lot of spunk from this wolf.

The young brute's auds pricked up in surprise as a she-wolf appeared out of the grass. Kiba opened his maw to say something, but immediately closed it with a frown as she walked past without saying barely a word. As she turned to him abruptly, he frowned again. His mind was burning with questions, but the pangs of hunger that he felt were stronger. He nodded, still slightly stupified by the femme's presence.

She chuckled as she turned to walk away. She pranced, scanning the terrain for any animals to hunt. She looked back at the wolf with gentle eyes, Your smart kid. She said turning back around to walk. Her rough pads scattered across the half grass, half dirt plains. She had lost the scent or Karabou thugh.

Kiba c.ocked his head as he watched the she-wolf. "Who are you?" he asked, not able to hold his tongue any longer. He lifted his nose into the air, searching for the scent of prey. Mabye with the femme's help, they could bring something big down together. But first, he was curious as to who she was and why she was here. He turned to face her, his auds still searching for the tell-tale sound of lunch.
